Located in the small yet bustling suburb of Erskineville, we are a dynamic community space comprised of friendly staff and patrons, emerging art, varied musical experiences, recycled furnishings and tasty food and drinks all sourced with a view to minimising our environmental impact. The Hive bar is your bar – bring down your favourite records to our Wednesday night Vinyl Club or talk to us about exhibiting your artwork or creating a mural on one of our walls. Our goal is for our patrons to help build and shape the future of The Hive and to feel a sense of being at 'home' at the Hive.

We serve only the freshest of Sydney beers on tap, from our very own E'ville Pilsner  brought straight from the St Peters Brewery, Young Henrys Natural Lager brewed at the top of the hill in Newtown, Balmain Pale Ale and also Australian Brewery's Fresh Press cider. Our wine list is also focused on local producers, while our ever-changing menu of cocktails draws from seasonal produce.

The Hive Bar kitchen closes only when the bar closes and offers a selection of share plates, burgers, pizzas and seasonal specials. All of the meat used at the Hive Bar is free range and local suppliers are used wherever possible.
